I have a question about a VGA cable?
I bought a Samsung 32-inch flat screen 1080i and I bought a cable VGA to connect my laptop to my Dell XPS flat screen, so I used the Source button and switched on the PC and it worked. I now a 32 inch monitor but for some reason The Sound Isn't For My LapTop out of my TV. He still works on my laptop but not on television. Is anyone knows the reason for this that I can do to solve the problem???
A VGA cable transmits video only. It does not carry sound. If want to make your laptop audio out of your TV speakers, you must use a separate audio cable to connect the laptop headphone to your TV's audio inputs. TVs are usually red and white stereo RCA audio inputs. To connect the headphone jack of your this laptop, you need a stereo mini to dual RCA audio cable. Hope this helps.
