Wow I really like this netbook. I had no problem following the instructions in the installation manual and battery charger for the first time. The rest of the process is simple, because the system Operating brought me the steps. I am absolutely convinced this is the way to go if you need computing power on the move but not all the features of notebooks full. Its great for reading e-mail, word processing alone, and, of course, talk to your grandchildren webcam. Screen for its size, is very clear and I plan to buy a external DVD drive for him, myself or my grandchildren to watch movies anywhere! I particularly liked the "plug n play 'USB ports, and how the operating system detects new devices that connect without having to reboot. In six hours of battery life is more than meets my needs. When you need a little PC, but not many PC
I had the opportunity try before laptops and have been unhappy with the small screen, small keyboard, and "cheap" toy feel. But when the chance to review the eCAFÉ, I jumped on it. I am a Mac user, but sometimes need a PC to work. This is then it just really handy.
The main reason I need a PC was so that I can do a job that required remote a PC. Am pleased to report that this netbook runs very well for this. Recently a friend needed to use his printer at home and makes us work more easily with this PC. I took the PC to a couple of trade shows and it was everything we needed. It is smaller and a little lighter than my 13-inch MacBook and I was able to slip in a little messenger bag. I have not tried to use it for weight heavy load of emails … just surf the web. But as a news, it does not meet the specifications for online games like World of Warcraft.
I had a little trouble getting the battery properly, but after a few tries, it is now working properly. I think the blue bamboo design is cute and keyboard is somewhat better than the other netbooks I've tried. The netbook is about 10.75 inches wide by 7.5 and the screen is about 8.75 of 5 inches which is 10 "on the diagonal. I have not tried it out yet, but I also found a great netbooks to be used as a computer to view a presentation on when you must bring your own projector and laptop.
I give this 5 stars because I think it a good netbook. I'm not giving it 5 stars as a complete computer on. So for when you need a little PC, but not a lot of PC, eCAFÉ may be the machine for you.

My first Netbook!
This is my first netbook, and so far I love it! I have nothing to compare it with, but I watched the other netbooks online and in stores, and eCAFÉ seems comparable to other brands on the market today in terms of processor speed, ram, screen size etc. A notable feature of the stand-out eCAFÉ is the hard drive of 250 GB, which seems very generous by today's standards. Adding a power cable for use in Europe a nice touch for travelers. The 46-page printed User Manual is a welcomed change from a pdf. On the drive, however, I found the half was about how to use the various components of OpenOffice, rather than important things like upgrade your RAM. One important thing he does tell you is how to restore the status eCAFÉ factory, if you need to do in the future.

These specifications are on par with current competing models, perhaps with the exception of the most large hard drive. The Wireless N is great for connecting to faster speeds where available. The long life of the battery 6-cell, fully charged, has generated nearly 7 hours of charging time for me, although, as with ordinary laptops, this varies depending on your usage.

The accounts of the 6-cell battery for at least half the weight of the netbook. The keyboard is really nice, and I like the buttons chiclet style. They have a nice feel to them, and while only 88% the size of a standard keyboard, I found the adjustment was not so difficult. At only 0.3 megapixel integrated webcam is something you might think is rubbish, but makes a surprisingly good job calls for face-to-face with Skype. The card reader Multi-format read current popular storage cards, which makes an excellent companion for eCAFÉ a digital camera during the holidays. On the right side of the eCAFÉ is a USB port for a mouse, leaving the other two USB ports on the left side free for USB drives, external DVD drive, and other USB devices. Easy on the eye.

Windows 7 Starter (eg window 7 gimped version) offers basic functionality of Windows 7, with an option for a paid update. It works better than you think, but lacks the bells and whistles like Aero, and even the basic ability to change your screen (although the use 3rd party programs, it is possible). The software eCAFÉ brand makes the everyday tasks quick and easy. Email Center is probably the mail program Easy-to-set-up I've ever used. Simply enter your email address and it connects to your ISP to retrieve POP and SMTP settings automatically. Once you do this, the Mail Center runs whenever you start the eCAFÉ and automatically checks for new e-mail. You can adjust this setting if you want, but personally I like the automatic features. The Connect program allows to find and connect to Wi-Fi hotspots Quick and painless. Web Cam Station is where you configure your Webcam for use with MS Messenger, Skype or other conferencing software similar. I use OpenOffice as a free alternative to MS Office for some years now, and I planned to install the eCAFÉ. It was a nice surprise it was pre-installed. OO includes a word processor, spreadsheet, slideshow, etc., and is compatible / interchangeable MS Office. The version of OO eCAFÉ is included with the v3.1, the current version (at the time of this review) is v3.2, be sure to upgrade. I have not installed the avast! A free anti-virus, rather mine Trend Micro Internet Security 2010.

Although I do not have another netbook with which to compare, I like the eCAFÉ EC-1000W for its size, speed, ease use, functionality and aesthetics. I would definitely recommend anyone in the market for a netbook review eCAFÉ.
