Little Help on the import of wireless phones in the Philippines ….?
I have this Siemens Wireless (analog) phone I bought in Sweden I want to give my grandmother in Manila. Would she be able to use this phone in Manila This line of PLDT analog own? (I know there are wireless phones for sale in the Philippines. I'm just interested in knowing what I'm curious about of.)
Although you can use the Siemens CP, the line interface in Sweden, like other EU countries is not same as that of the Philippines who is a U.S. standard. The result is reduced volume of receipt (if the handset has a volume control, you should be fine) and may be the poorest tone detection. Check the connector cord if it is RJ11 (standard wall outlet Philippines), otherwise see if you can buy an adapter online. dialing mode is tone / pulse. If you subscribe to Caller ID, your phone must be type II, you have a better chance it will work. AC adapter is 220V, but the cap is flat.
