Linksys wrt300 NO CD (Computer experts please)?
The computer I installed the software on for my router has crashed and the disc is missing for some bizarre reason.
I want to update the firmware on the router but when I try to from the linksys site It says I have to open the web based utility or something http://www-ca.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?blobcol=urldata&blobheadername1=Content-Type&blobheadername2=Content-Disposition&blobheadervalue1=application%2Fpdf&blobheadervalue2=inline%3B+filename%3DWRT300N_ug%252C0.pdf&blobkey=id&blobtable=MungoBlobs&blobwhere=1130835522277&ssbinary=true&lid=7598312181B03
but I can’t open that because it’s not highlighted…I’m so lost as to what to do.
the “web based utility” is simply the embedded web server in the device.
Assuming you KNOW it’s IP address in the internet explorer address bar enter it, for example instead of answer.yahoo.com type 192.168.1.1 if that was it’s IP address
