installing passive subwoofer?
I am developing a custom home theater system in my house. I want to put in two 8 "150 watt passive subwoofer in-wall to go with my 7-channel surround sound. I need to buy a separate amplifier to run the submarines. I watched PTA1000 Pyle 1000W Amplifier 2-channel, but I'm not familiar enough with the amplifiers to know if this will work. If someone can help and give suggestions, I appreciate it very much.
I strongly advise you to use in the wall below – woofers. Wall average only 4 or so inches deep and do not leave enough room for a subwoofer speaker good to be stuffed into it. Heck, unless you do some concession design and sacrificing sound quality you can not make a good pilot decent bass in this space. I fear that if you go this route, you'll with a wall of noise that will sound just awful.
